Wednesday, December 8 Meeting Highlights

DATES TO REMEMBER:

• December 11 is the Campout on Ice. Watch the hockey game (at 7:30) and stay to earn your Polar Bear Badge by camping out on the ice! Click the link to register. You can pick up your tickets at the Scout office or at will call the night of the game. • December 22: We will distribute the gift bags from tonight's meeting at Franciscan Woods. TIGER CUBS: We will be using this outing to fulfill the "Making My Family Special" go see it requirement.
• December 31: Complete your religious emblem requirements by the end of the month so you can meet with Father Schreck in early January!
• January 21-22: Pinewood Derby Weigh in on the 21st at 6:30 PM, Pinewood Derby on the 22nd by 11 AM for late registration.  Racing will start by 12:15. Lunch will be served. The Derby will be held in the St. Anne's High School Cafeteria. You can pick up derby kits at the Scout Shop. Click here for some great tips on how to build your car for speed! Remember that after the weigh-in you will want to leave your derby. If you take it home and bring it back it must be re-weighed. Don't forget the sibling race! Brothers and sisters of scouts can enter their very own event.

At tonight's meeting our  Pack enjoyed a fantastic dinner to celebrate the Christmas season and put together gift bags full of comfort and Christmas cheer to share with members of our community who may have a harder time getting to see family and friends during this special season.

Pack Meeting, November 17

NOVEMBER 17 MEETING MINUTES:

• Turkey Shoot! The Badgers took the prize although no one is very certain how the scoring took place.
• Awards. Many of our boys took new patches and/or belt loops, including a couple of special badges for the recent Council meeting.
• Popcorn Sales are ongoing through the power of the almighty internet. Click here or on the link to the right for Internet Popcorn Sales to go the FAQ page for online sales. We are a pack so the number of our group begins with 3 followed by our pack number. So 3112 is the number you use when you fill out the form.
• Be collecting "comfort" items for our nursing home gift bags. Suggestions:
  Lotion
  Kleenex(Small purse sizes)
  Combs
  Socks
  Crossword Books
  Sample sizes of soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. are great also. 
  NO CANDY- This is because there are diabetic patients and it is too hard to figure out who gets which bag.
• Saturday, December 11, 2010 Chattahoochee Council will hold its CAMPOUT ON ICE!  Come out and earn your POLAR BEAR patch! You will have the opportunity to see a great Hockey game and after the game get a chance to meet the players and Campout directly on the Ice.  Registration is just $15.00 before December 3rd.  Don't miss the opportunity.
